The back-and-forth between Jake Paul and legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson is starting to gather pace ahead of their highly anticipated bout on July 20.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer trolled Tyson on social media by reminding him of the infamous ear bite in 1997 against Evander Holyfield.

Paul posted a video on social media showing his face with Tyson's iconic face tattoo. He then showed a man with a bitten ear, then showed himself again, with a fake ear in his mouth.

That post will likely anger Tyson because it is one of the most infamous moments in boxing history. It wasn't Tyson's greatest moment, though. Paul also recreated Tyson's famous picture with a pet tiger.

Paul will be looking to continue his impressive run in the sport when he faces the 57-year-old. He has a record of 9-1 (6 knockouts). His only defeat was against Tommy Fury by a split decision on February 26, 2023. His latest win came against Ryan Bourland on March 2, per USA Today.

On the other hand, Tyson has not boxed professionally since 2006. His last victory came in 2003 against Clifford Etienne. His opponent in July was six years old at the time. Tyson won 50 fights in his career, 44 by knockout.

Tyson on biting Holyfield

This iconic moment came when Tyson faced Holyfield for the WBA world heavyweight championship. Tyson bit Holyfield's ear in the third round of the fight.

His actions cost him the fight and his boxing licence, which was later reinstated. He explained why he bit his opponent.

"I bit him because I wanted to kill him. I was really mad about my head being bumped and everything," Tyson said. "I really lost consciousness of the whole fight. It took me out of my fight plan and everything," via CBS Sports.

Holyfield was dominant in the opening round and would've won the fight if he continued with his impressive showing.

Paul's youth will have its advantages in the fight, but Tyson has the experience to knock the youngster out.

In a video he shared on his social media, the veteran boxer showed off his ripped physique as he threw some jabs at his trainer.
