1. Fordham University Rams, Fordham University

The Fordham University baseball team holds the best college baseball season record of all time. They won in the first-ever nine-man game, winning 33-11. So far, they have played in 161 seasons and have 4,551 wins, translating to a winning percentage of 656%.

2. Texas Longhorn, University of Texas

The Texas Longhorns baseball team also has one of the best college baseball records. The team has attained over 3,526 wins in 125 seasons. Texas has six national championships and six runner-up finishes, making it one of the most successful in baseball history.

3. Michigan Wolverines, University of Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines of the University of Michigan have played in about 148 seasons so far, attaining over 2,997 wins, a percentage of 630%. The Wolverines have won two national titles. 

Additionally, they were the last crew to win the NCAA (National College Athletics Association) tournament in its original field size of eight. In 2019, the Michigan University team returned to the CWS for the first time since 1984.

4. Stanford Cardinals, Stanford University

The Stanford Cardinal baseball team based in Stanford University has one of the best college baseball team records. In 1998, they became the third crew to win back-to-back national championships after Texas and USC (University of South Carolina). 

Stanford has played in more than 128 seasons, with 2,995 wins. They carried the national championships in 1987 and 1998 and finished as runners-up in 2000, 2001, and 2003.

5. Florida State Seminoles, Florida State University

The Seminoles have only played in 74 seasons, winning 2,967 times. Together with Miami, they are one among two teams with less than 100 seasons. The team’s former head coach, Mile Martin, is among the best in Division 1 baseball history. He retired in 2019 with 2,029 wins.

6. Southern California Trojans, Southern California University

The Trojans have 12 NCAA Division 1 titles, with 2,944 wins in 197 seasons. Despite their short stay in the tournament, they have attained more victories than any other team in the history of the association.

7. Sun Devils, Arizona State University

The Sun Devils have one of the best performance records in NCAA history. They have played 110 seasons, attaining 2,943 wins. The team has been home to some of the greatest baseball players, including Reggie Jackson and Barry Bonds.

The Sun Devils have five national titles (1965, 1967, 1969, 1977, 1981) and two runners-up finishes. The team has the fourth-best winning percentage in NCAA history (664).

8. North Carolina Tar Heels, University of North Carolina

The North Carolina Tar Heels boast a record of 2,917 wins in 132 seasons. They are the only team in baseball history that has never lost in conference play.

9. Clemson Tigers, Clemson University

The Clemson Tigers are one of the most successful NCAA teams without a national title despite making it to the tournament 44 times. The team has played in 124 seasons, attaining 2,916 wins. In 1947, the Tigers were among eight teams that qualified for the first NCAA Division II tournament.

10. Arizona Wildcats, University of Arizona

The Wildcats have attained over 2,871 wins in 116 seasons. They have four national titles to their name, and 247 team players have been selected in the MLB draft, with a significant number proceeding to professional careers.

Oregon State University has one of the best baseball teams. The Beavers’ was home to professional players like Logan Ice, Travis Eckert, and Trevor Morrison. The team once won 23 games in a row in one season, winning the 2018 championships.

The best-winning record in a season was by the Arizona State Devils in 1972 when they finished 64-6 that season with a winning percentage of 914. The Beavers follow closely with a percentage of 913.

Who has the longest hit streak in college baseball history?

One of the NCAA baseball records of all time is from Robin Ventura, who boasts the longest-hitting streak in NCAA history. His record is 58 straight games in 1987 for Okhaloma State University. His performance led the Cowboys to the College World Series championship game.

The athlete joined the institution and rose as one of the best players the school had witnessed. In 1986, he hit a batting average of 469, the highest in a single-season batting average.
