Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has been honoured by luxury Swiss watchmaker Richard Miller.

Fraser-Pryce is preparing for perhaps her last Olympics games, the 2024 Paris Olympics, and the news are statement of her status as one of the best track and field athletes of all time.

The 36-year-old is a five-time 100m world champion and two-time Olympic titles in the distance and is considered one of the greatest sprinters of all time.

If she qualifies for the Paris 2024 Olympics, it will be her fifth Olympics games, but she will face tough competition from defending champion Elaine Thompson-Herah, world champion Sha'Carri Richardson and 200m world champion Shericka Jackson.

She turns 37 this month and recently hinted at retirement after next year's Olympics.

Fraser-Pryce named Richard Mille ambassador

The luxury watch brand recently announced Fraser-Pruyce as its brand ambassador.

Richard Miller announced the news on Instagram with pictures of Fraser-Pryce wearing the RM 07-04 Automatic Sport watch.

“It’s a partnership! When I step on the line it’s about me bringing out the part of me which can best show this unique watch off to the world!” Fraser-Pryce said.

Other track and field athletes Richard Mille has worked with are Qatari high jumper Mutaaz Barshim, Belgian heptathlete Nafissatou Thiam, and South African sprinters Akani Simbine and Wayde van Niekerk.

Football legend Diddier Drogba, tennis great Rafael Nadal, Roberto Mancini, and Yohan Blake are also brand ambassadors of Richard Mille.

Fraser-Pryce retirement plans

Sports Brief earlier reported on Fraser-Pryce setting the record straight on her future.

She confirmed that the 2024 Paris Olympics will be her last. The veteran sprinter recently claimed silver and bronze at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August.

"I got Paris on my mind…..My 5th and final one for all time," she said.
