An interesting theory has been floated about Cristiano Ronaldo's mannerisms, which recently came to light despite the forward playing for over 20 years.

Ronaldo, currently with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, is still going strong at 39 years, having led a glorious career in four top-flight leagues in Europe.

He is undoubtedly one of the best goal scorers and players to ever grace the football pitch. Fans are, however, only realising why the Portuguese icon always steps onto the pitch with his right foot first.

A video on TikTok by Football Sharer shows how Ronaldo always steps onto the pitch with his right foot fist before doing his customary jump.

Why Ronaldo always steps on the pitch with his right foot

A Portugal fan, Jessica Andres, has come out to dispel notions of it being a superstition, claiming that leading with the right foot is part of the country's culture.

"The right one thing isn't superstition. It's a Portuguese culture 'entra com a direita' meaning 'enter with the right'. And it's pretty common in other countries too, such as Spain, India, Indonesia, Italy, Greece, Brazil, Russia, Asian countries, and Muslim countries," she said as quoted by GMS.

Before he joined Al-Nassr, Statbunker reported that he scored 474 right-footed goals compared to 129 with his perceived weaker foot.

Ronaldo's prediction for EPL title race

Sports Brief has also reported about Ronaldo's prediction for the EPL title race.

Arsenal and Manchester City will battle it out on the final day for the 2023/2024 honours. The latter leads the table with two points.

The defending champions need to beat West Ham at the Etihad to retain the title for a fourth consecutive time, irrespective of what Arsenal does when they play Everton at the Emirates.
