Arsenal are having another incredible campaign and could end the season with their first Premier League title in 20 years.

On Sunday, the Gunners laid down a marker with their emphatic win over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby.

Former Arsenal striker, Emmanuel Adebayor, has backed Manchester City to win the league, but Kai Havertz has not impressed him.

The German's arrival from Chelsea in the summer was met with negative reactions from fans. He silenced doubters with starring performances under Mikel Arteta.

The Champions League winner has bagged 13 goals this season, with 12 coming in the Premier League. His goals have proved crucial in Arsenal's title run. Only Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard have scored more than him, per Transfermarkt.

The 24-year-old has rediscovered himself following three difficult seasons at Chelsea. He's become one of the first names on Mikel Arteta's team sheet.

Adebayor on Havertz

Adebayor says the former Bayer Leverkusen star has settled well at Arsenal but expressed his doubts about his style of play.

"He has adapted well, but I am not a big fan of the player, to be honest," said Adebayor via Football London. "He isn't that strong and when you are playing up front for a team like Arsenal. First and foremost, you have to be strong and you have to be clever. He’s a very good player with the feet."

Adebayor scored 62 goals at Arsenal between 2006 and 2009 before his controversial transfer to Manchester City. The Togolese legend is not convinced about Arsenal's title chances.

"Anything is possible with Arsenal because we all know how good they can play. This team is very young and very talented. But am I sure they're going to get nine points? I'm not sure."

The Gunners' title chance is not on their hands. If Man City win all their games, they will secure their fourth straight league title.

Havertz makes history

Sports Brief earlier reported that Havertz made history after scoring a double against Chelsea in the London Derby on April 23.

His brace against his former team saw him become the first player to play for the Blues and then score twice against them in the English top flight.
