Only a few days remain until UFC 293 and excitement is building for one of the year's biggest fights.
Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland will square off this Saturday at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, for the UFC Middleweight Championship.
Here’s all you need to know about Adesanya vs. Strickland and the other fights on the main card for UFC 293.
Israel Adesanya vs. Sean Strickland
Adesanya is looking to build on his second reign as the king of the middleweight division as he travels Down Under for UFC 293.
His fight against Strickland will be his first in five months after he recaptured the middleweight title from rival, Alex Pereira, per CBS Sports.
Adesanya was supposed to face Dricus du Plessis for his next fight, but the South African suffered a foot injury.
Du Plessis' loss is Strickland’s gain. The 32-year-old Anaheim native has a 27-5 MMA record. He earned the title shot after beating Abus Magomedov last July.
Tai Tuivasa vs. Alexander Volkov
Tuivasa is looking to snap his two-fight losing skid when he takes on Volkov this coming Saturday. Bam Bam is coming off a Fight of the Night stoppage defeat against Ciryl Gane, followed by a stunning knockout loss to Sergei Pavlovich, per Sherdog.
Tuivasa's back-to-back losses were surprising as he had won his previous five matches before that skid. One of those wins was a knockout victory over former title challenger, Derrick Lewis.
He will be tested once again this weekend against Volkov, who carries a 36-10 MMA record. The Russian is coming off a first-round TKO win over Alexander Romanov last March.

FootballManel Kape vs. Felipe dos Santos
Dos Santos stepped in on short notice to fight Kape as a replacement for Kai Kara-France, who withdrew after sustaining a concussion in training camp.
He will have his work cut out for him against Kape, who defeated David Dvorak last December.
This will be Kape's first fight this year. Three separate ranked opponents pulled out of fighting Kape in 2023 due to various reasons.
Justin Tafa vs. Austen Lane
Justin Tafa and Austen Lane will lock horns once again, nearly three months after their showdown was ruled a no-contest due to an inadvertent eye poke.
Tafa thought his eyeball had been ripped out by Lane just 29 seconds into their fight. UFC decided to run it back in Tafa's home country at UFC 293.
Tafa has a 6-3-0 MMA record with 1 NC, while Lane holds a 12-3-0 MMA slate with 1 NC.
