For Themba Gorimbo, dreams do come true.
The Zimbabwean MMA fighter, who competes in the UFC, met with WWE superstar, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
For The Answer, the moment was indeed emotional, as he broke down in tears after meeting with The People’s Champion. As noted by Give Me Sport, the Hollywood heavyweight wanted to meet the African fighter after hearing about his story.
The Rock saw the post and was moved by it, and then offered to help the Zimbabwean athlete. Johnson then made good on his promise as he surprised Gorimbo at the MMA Gym in Florida.
Gorimbo was conducting an interview when The Rock stood behind him, waiting to get his attention. Once the African athlete spotted The Great One, he hugged him before breaking down into tears.
Gorimbo’s joy didn’t end there. Johnson also decided to gift the Zimbabwean fighter a fully furnished home in Miami, so that he wouldn't have to sleep in the gym.
Gorimbo had no place to live after moving to America to pursue his MMA dream, and slept every night in the gym. The former EFC fighter showed The Rock the couch he used as a bed, and his list of reasons why he makes so many sacrifices.
The former WWE champ took Gorimbo to the home, giving him a tour of it, before handing him the keys and telling him that it was his new place.
