WWE and Hollywood superstar, Dwayne ‘The Rock Johnson, is coming to the rescue.
The former WWE champion has been touched by the story of Themba Gorimbo, and has agreed to help the UFC newcomer.
The Answer made headlines last month when he shared a screenshot of his bank balance, saying that's how much he had left after his last fight.
Gorimbo took on Takashi Sato at UFC Vegas 73, picking up his first win in the organisation.
His story began to make headlines and has now attracted the attention of The Great One. As noted by Give Me Sport, The Rock saw Gorimbo's tweet and has now offered to help him.
"This is crazy to see and brings back many emotions and memories. $7.49 in this fighter’s bank account. I once had $7 bucks too. I’ve been there on that grind. Got your back, brother. I’ll help. You got this. I’ll be in touch," Johnson replied.
Despite being a superstar today, The People's Champ wasn't always rolling in the money. He struggled financially before he signed with the WWE and, therefore, can relate to the Zimbabwean fighter's story.
For former EFC star, Gorimbo, meeting The Rock is a dream come true.
"It's surreal, to be honest, that The Rock wants to meet me. I mean, it's everyone's dream to meet The Rock, but this is the other way around. The Rock wants to meet me! I'm so excited," he exclaimed.
