FootballIsrael Adesanya Blasts the Judges After Kai Kara France’s Defeat at UFC Vegas 74
- Israel Adesanya has accused two referees of robbing Kai Kara-France in the main event of UFC Vegas 74
- Kara-France took on Amir Albazi but was denied victory as two judges scored the fight in favour of Albazi
- Fans took to social media to also complain about the refereeing and urged UFC to get better judges
Controversial judging in the UFC has reared its ugly head again, and Israel Adesanya is not having it.
The Nigerian-born Kiwi has hit out at judges after his teammate, Kai Kara-France, was defeated at UFC Vegas 74.
Kai Kara-France and Amir Albazi face off in a five-round bout in the main event, but the result surprised many.
As noted by MMA Fighting, Albazi won the fight via split decision, with Sal D’Amato and Chris Lee scoring it in favour of him. Only Mike Bell scored the fight in favour of Kara-France.
The Last Stylebender, a teammate of Kara-France, didn’t hold back in his reaction to the result. Taking to social media, Adesanya criticised two referees and called for them to be fired.
He also demanded that judges be held more accountable for their decisions.
“Start interviewing the judges after fights. Hold them accountable for their work,” he said.
Adesanya isn’t the only one who felt like the New Zealander was robbed, as social media erupted with people calling for UFC to take action.
@photoshopped_af:
“These UFC judges are truly awful. It’s a stain on the sport. They should only let retired fighters judge, or at least people who understand mixed martial arts.”
@BabaYaga_Trades:
“D’Amato and Lee constantly disappoint at their job. Fans want them out as well. Robbery.”
@Aguiar5o:
“@ufc, explain this. Get new judges. We can’t be having robberies like this for fighters who earn victories. Kai Kara won in every stat and still lost. Get real judges instead of blind rats who bet on these.

Football@LegendaryEnergy:
“That was an absolute tragedy. What a garbage decision. Kai Kara France won that 4-1. One of the worst I’ve seen of the year. #UFCVegas74”
