Fresh footage has now shown how Alex Pereira's son reacted after Israel Adesanya taunted him on April 8 following his triumph in the UFC 287 middleweight category.

Adesanya finally got one better of Pereira in his fourth attempt to reclaim a title he lost last year. The Nigerian-born MMA fighter won via KO in the second round.

One of the major storylines of the win was how Adesanya celebrated. He performed Pereira's trademark celebration of bow and arrow. He then turned to someone in the crowd before dropping to the floor.

The 33-year-old later confirmed that it was indeed payback at Pereira's son, who had mocked him after a kickboxing match in 2017.

How Pereira's son reacted

New footage has now shown how Pereira's son reacted to the taunt. In the video spotted by Sports Brief, the son, who was draped in a yellow-looking T-shirt, turned away after Adesanya pointed to him. The Mirror reports that the taunt made him cry.

"I'm petty, bro. I remember the first time he knocked me out in Brazil, and his son came into the ring and then started to lie dead next to me. But then, yeah, I looked for his kid, and I pointed at him, and I saw him, and I was like, hey, hey, hey, just to remind him," said Adesanya after the game.

Adesanya responded to the viral video by saying:

"I have ruined Christmas 2023."

Adesanya's girlfriend's message after UFC win

Sports Brief has also reported that following the victory, Adesanya has earned attention from the entire combat world, as ex-UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou described him as the best Middleweight of all time.

With former USA President Donald Trump, legendary boxer Mike Tyson and several more celebrities present in the arena, Izzy also earned a heartfelt message from his reported girlfriend, Shana Evers.

Evers posted a picture of Izzy mimicking Pereira's pre-fight entrance bow and arrow routine in her Instagram story. She accompanied the photo with an eagle and sparkle emojis.
