"I love everybody here. This is where I started my career. It's been a long 20 years, 50-some fights.

Masvidal competed in Bellator and Strikeforce before making his debut in the UFC 2013, per ESPN.

Masvidal finally made a name for himself in the UFC in 2019 after six defeats in the Octagon, knocking out Darren Till in the second round of their fight in London.

That started a three-fight winning streak for Masvidal, which included two more victories over notable fighters in the UFC.

Masvidal records fastest UFC knockout

Masvidal recorded the fastest victory in UFC history, needing just five seconds to knock out Ben Askren at UFC 239 in 2019.

He then captured the novelty BMF title in his next fight, recording a TKO win over Nate Diaz in November 2019 for his only UFC career championship.

Masvidal’s win over Diaz was the first of four straight UFC pay-per-view headline appearances for Gamebred. That proved to be the pinnacle of his UFC career, as he never won another fight in the Octagon.

Masvidal retires from UFC with no regrets, saying:

"I'm a multi-millionaire. I didn't start with nothing. I can say I'm good for life now."

Adesanya stuns with KO win

Sports Brief recently reported on Adesanya knocking out Pereira in their middleweight championship showdown at UFC 287.

Adesanya stunned Pereira with two powerful right hands in the second round to regain his title.

They previously fought in November last year, with Pereira scoring a fifth-round technical knockout.
