Nigerian-born Israel Adesanya has once again shut down accusations that he is on steroids.
The former champion returns to the Octagon in the main event of UFC 287, as he takes on Alex Pereira for the Middleweight title.
While The Last Stylebender is fully focused on his rematch with Poatan, there are still rumours doing the rounds that he has used performance enhancers in the past.
Adesanya took to social media to shut down the rumours, saying that there was no chance for fighters to get away with cheating because they were constantly monitored.

Adesanya, most notably, was accused of using steroids during his title defence against Paulo Costa.
As noted by The Mirror, Adesanya faced the accusations after many noticed that his right pectoral muscle was swollen during the fight.
Fans believed that it was the result of the performance enhancers, but The Last Stylebender claimed that it was because he was smoking too much.
To his credit, Adesanya has been tested by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) over 50 times since he made his debut in 2018. He has never been flagged for taking a banned substance as yet.

Sports Brief recently reported on Israel Adesanya's comments about possibly joining WWE in the near future.
The fighter was asked about that after Endeavor, the company that owns the UFC, agreed to purchase the wrestling company.
Adesanya responded by saying that moving to the WWE was something for a bit later down the line.
