Tale of the tape
What the fighters said
Jon Jones has focused on dissecting Gane’s style and picking holes in his game plan, MMA Junkie reported.
“I respect Ciryl Gane, I really do, but I study film constantly and I just see a lot of patterns.
“He does have the striking down. I don’t think defensively he’s a very strong kickboxer. He has a really nice offense. Like I said, his defense is mainly in his footwork, and two other big holes are jiu-jitsu and wrestling,” he said.
Jon Jones wants to become the GOAT of MMA with victory over Cyril Gane
UFCConversely, Gane has had to downplay rumours that he was injured going into the fight.
Bon Gamin broke his hand during his last fight and underwent surgery. However, fans believe that the French fighter may have broken it again. Gane has since denied this, Bloody Elbow reported.
“She is healthy, really healthy. I’ve got no problem, any sensation. Just after the injury, since the injury to today, nothing. Nothing. Everything is perfect,” he said.
