South Africa's sporting personalities sure know how to mark the festive season in style. Some of Mzansi's most-loved sports personalities showed that family comes first when it comes to celebrating Christmas, opting to spend time with their loved ones at home or away.

1. Siya Kholisi

Captain Fantastic, Siya Kolisi, spent Christmas in Botswana where he and his family are holidaying, The Citizen reported.

The Kolisis spent some time in Cape Town, then Mozambique and finally Botswana for their holidays.

2. Shauwn Mkhize

MaMkhize brought glitz and glamour to her Instagram when she posted her Christmas outfit. The socialite, philanthropist and businesswoman also used the post to reflect on the year that has gone by.

3. Itumeleng Khune

The Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper may not have much playing time these days but the photo he posted with his daughter is definitely a keeper.

Fans will be hoping that he returns to action soon, but for now they're soaking up watching him spend time with loved ones.

4. Teko Modise

Teko Modise also used Christmas to honour his loved ones. The General shared a snap on Instagram with wife Koketso Chipane, daughter and his new bundle of joy, his newborn son.

5. Caster Semenya

South Africa's Olympic gold medallist took to Twitter to share a snap of her with wife Violet and their two children.

The family were all wearing matching Christmas outfits as well.

6. Pitso Mosimane

South Africa's most successful football coach took to Twitter to wish all his followers a very Merry Christmas.

Pitso didn't have much time to celebrate though as Al Ahly were training for their boxing day game against Future FC.

In other news, Sports Brief's sister site, Briefly News reported that the countdown to Somizi’s birthday finally ended yesterday and he marked it with a star-studded bash.

One of the notable guests in attendance was Shauwn Mkhize and she made a splash with her gift for the man of the hour.

Somizi took to Instagram to show his followers what went down last night, including his interaction with MaMkhize. From the video, fans could see the duo enjoying their time at the soiree before the ever-so-flashy Mkhize revealed her surprise — a lot of money.
