Sports Brief looks at the players who took home the trophies at the 2023 US Open.

Novak Djokovic (Men's Singles)

Djokovic made history on Sunday, tying Margaret Court's all-time record of 24 Grand Slam titles after his victory over Daniil Medvedev in the final.

He needed three hours and 16 minutes to produce the 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3 victory over the Russian as he captured his fourth US Open title, per The Guardian.

It was sweet revenge for Djokovic, who lost to Medvedev in straight sets in the 2021 US Open final.

Coco Gauff (Women's Singles)

Gauff also made history at Flushing Meadows this year, becoming the third American teenager to win the US Open Women's Singles tournament.

She battled back from a set down to beat Aryna Sabalenka, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, in the final. It was the 19-year-old's first Grand Slam title.

Rajeev Ram/ Joe Salisbury (Men's Doubles)

Britain's Joe Salisbury and American Rajeev Ram made history on Friday, becoming the first pairing in over a century to win three straight US Open men's doubles titles.

The third-seeded pair accomplished the feat by beating Australia's Matthew Ebden and Rohan Bopanna of India in the final in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The last men's doubles team to win three in a row at the US Open was the all-American duo of Maurice McLoughlin and Tom Bundy. They captured the titles in 1912, 1913, and 1914.

Gabriela Dabrowski/ Erin Routliffe (Women's Doubles)

Dabrowski became the first Canadian player to win a Grand Slam women's doubles title on Sunday when she and her partner Erin Routliffe captured the US Open crown.

They defeated Germany's Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonareva of Russia in straight sets in the final, 7-6 (9), 6-3.

It was a fantastic achievement by the pair, who teamed up for the first time at the National Bank Open in Montreal just a month ago.

Anna Danilina/ Harri Heliovaara (Mixed Doubles)

First-time partners Anna Danilina and Harri Heliovaara recorded a major shock on Saturday, beating the top-seeded pair of Jessica Pegula and Austin Krajicek in the final to win the 2023 US Open mixed doubles crown.

They defeated the Americans 6-3, 6-4 in the championship match to pick up their first Grand Slam titles, per Tennis.com.

Djokovic pays tribute to Bryant

Sports Brief also reported on Djokovic paying tribute to Kobe Bryant after winning his 24th Grand Slam title.

The Serb star wore a 'Mamba Forever' shirt following his victory over Daniil Medvedev in the final.

Djokovic and the late Laker great were close friends.
