She started her career at three under the guidance of her mother, Samira, who played the sport recreationally. She trained in nearby hotel courts from when she was four until she was 13 under coach Nabil Mlika since they did not have a court.

She joined the junior Grand Slam and started to post incredible results. She went on to win the 2011 French Open and the 2011 Wimbledon Championships and thus became the first North African woman to win a junior Grand Slam tournament.

Jabeur debuted professionally in 2008 and took part in several tours, and after a while, she won her first title at the $10k level in singles in Antalya, Turkey, and another one eight weeks later. In 2017, she was on the top 100 list of the best women tennis players in the world.

The Tunisian tennis legend sustained an injury during the Australian Open in 2020. After losing the match in the quarterfinals, she announced that she would undergo minor left knee surgery.

The operation was successful, and she returned to the court during the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells when she was 80 per cent fit.
