History was made in Paris on June 11, when Novak Djokovic won his record 23rd Grand Slam title at the 2023 French Open.

He also became the fourth tennis player to win the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open at least three times each.

Sports Brief looks at the tennis legends who have achieved the Triple Career Grand Slam.

Novak Djokovic

Djokovic made history with his win at Roland Garros this month, becoming the first male player to win the Triple Career Grand Slam, per Tennis.com.

He has won the Australian Open 10 times in his career, lifting the Norman Brooks Challenge Cup in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2021, and 2023.

The Serb also has found success at Wimbledon, winning the championship seven times in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. He has won the US Open three times, capturing the title in 2011, 2015, and 2018.

The French Open proved to be a tough tournament to win for Djokovic, with arch-rival, Rafael Nadal, frequently standing in his way.

He accomplished the Triple Career Grand Slam in this year’s French Open when he beat Casper Ruud in the final. He now has won three titles at Roland Garros, adding to the pair he captured in 2016 and 2021.

Serena Williams

Williams won a total of 24 Grand Slam singles titles in her illustrious career and is the third tennis player in history to accomplish the Triple Career Grand Slam.

She won the Australian Open seven times in his career, lifting the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2015, and 2017.

The American also found success at Wimbledon, winning the championship seven times in 2002, 2003, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2016. She also won the US Open six times, capturing the title in 1999, 2002, 2008, 2012, 2013, and 2014.

Williams achieved the Triple Career Grand Slam in the 2015 French Open. She defeated Lucie Safarova in the final to lift her third Suzanne-Lenglen Cup, per The Guardian.

Steffi Graf

Graf is undoubtedly a legend of the sport as she is not only a Triple Career Grand Slam winner but also a Quadruple Career Grand Slam winner.

She achieved the Triple Career Grand Slam at the 1993 US Open, defeating Helena Sukova in the finals.

The German star won her fourth French Open and US Open titles in 1995 to become the only player in history to complete the Quadruple Career Grand Slam.

Graf finished her career with seven Wimbledon, six French Open, five US Open, and four Australian Open titles.

Margaret Court

Court became the first tennis player in history to achieve the Triple Career Grand Slam after she captured her third Wimbledon title in 1970.

The Australian star finished her career with 11 Australian Open, five US Open, five French Open, and three Wimbledon titles.
