According to various sources, Mack Hansen was an electrician and childcare worker in Australia. He has admitted that he was not a trusted electrician, although he was excellent in child care. He said,

"I was terrible at it. They would not let me do any hard jobs at all. So, I did not do any electrical work in my time as an electrician. I did childcare when I ruptured all the ligaments in my ankle, and I could not do my trade anymore."
