Career

Ox spent his youth career with the Free State Cheetahs. In 2011, the athlete was part of the Under-16 Grant Khomo week in Queenstown. In 2012, Ox competed at the Under-18 Craven Week competition, the premier high school rugby union competition in South Africa.

Nché was later selected to the South African Schools squad that competed against France, Wales, and England, starting the match against England after substituting the first two. In 2015, he was named in the UFS Shimlas squad for the 2015 Varsity Cup competition.

Ox's professional debut was in 2016 when he competed at the Super Rugby 2016. That same year, he won the Currie Cup with the Free State Cheetahs and was named the Currie Cup Player of the Year. The win was the team's first in nine years. In 2019, after the Cheetahs were dropped from the Pro14 roster, the 28-year-old moved to the Durban Sharks and continued his stellar performance in his new team.

Retshegofaditswe joined the Under-20 Springboks squad in 2015, scoring one try against New Zealand in the final match. In 2017, he played for South Africa 'A' against the French Barbarians. His test debut for the main ream was in 2018 during a match against Wales. However, he had to wait until 2021 for his next cap.
