Behind every champion is a beloved cheerleader.

As the Springboks parade around South Africa showing love to the millions who cheered them on, the champions will still return home to their nearest and dearest.

With them through agonising defeats and elated victories, the wives of players live every minute on the pitch with their husbands.

One such wife is that of RG Snyman, Saskia.

Glamorous and elegant on Instagram, Saskia has been showing off her love of France on the social media app.

The 27-year-old is from Pretoria and went to the University of Pretoria where she met her future husband. She lives in Ireland with RG and works at an accounting firm.

The couple were engaged in March 2019 and were married in November of that year at The Greenhouse Café on the outskirts of eastern Pretoria.

News24 reported on their honeymoon in Mozambique, just weeks after the Springboks had won the World Cup for the third time.

The 28-year-old RG began his career with the Blue Bulls before a short stint with Mie Honda Heat in Japan. He is currently contracted to Munster, where he won last year's United Rugby Championship.

Mr Snyman has suffered two serious knee injuries since 2020 and naturally, Saski was there to keep him strong.

In an interview with Irish Independent, RG said:

“My wife was a big pillar throughout this whole time, just standing by me in those times that you do drop off and become a bit negative."
