Kolisi melts hearts with Kolbe hug
The Springboks captain had Kolbe in his mind after the latter committed a major mistake in the dying minutes of the final.
Kolbe thought he had cost the Springboks the final after he received a yellow card in the latter stages of the match against the All Blacks.
New Zealand were on the attack in the 72nd minute when Kolbe was called for a deliberate knock-on.
Referee Wayne Barnes sent Kolbe to the sin bin after the former deemed the Springboks star’s action as a bookable offence, per The Guardian.
Not only did Kolbe negate South Africa’s one-man advantage with his foul, he also gave New Zealand a glorious opportunity to take the lead with a penalty attempt.
Fortunately for Kolbe and the Springboks, they held on to the 12-11 lead after Jordie Barrett missed the ensuing penalty.

South Africa were not out of the woods, though, and the tension was too much for Kolbe to handle. He was seen on the sidelines with his head in his shirt, refusing to watch with his own eyes the final seven minutes of the match.
