Mzansi has taken to the streets to celebrate South Africa’s victory over England at the ongoing 2023 Rugby World Cup in France.
The Springboks put up an impressive outing in the semi-final, defeating their English counterparts 16-15 in an extraordinary fashion.
The nail-biting encounter was settled courtesy of Handre Pollard’s penalty kick, which helped South Africa edge their opponents and set up a Rugby World Cup final against New Zealand.
Victory for the Springboks sparked reactions back home in South Africa as fans took to the streets in excitement, with motorists abandoning their vehicles to ‘party’ with dance moves while others hoisted their Rainbow Nation flags, the Guardian reports.
Fans have also taken to the comment section of a clip shared by @dukkes.on.the.beat on TikTok. One said:
