Betting on Uruguay (-17.5)

Uruguay had a golden opportunity to pick up their first win of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in their last match against Italy.

Los Teros entered the halftime interval with a 10-point advantage after profiting from Italy's two yellow cards, per the BBC.

They couldn't hold on to their lead, though, as the Azzurri outscored them 31-0 in the second half to record a 38-17 win.

The match swung in Italy's favour after Uruguay captain Andres Vilaseca was sent by the referee to the sin bin. The Italians took full advantage, recording three quick scores to regain the lead and earn the bonus point.

Lorenzo Cannone, Juan Ignacio Brex, Michele Lamaro, and Monty Ioane all registered tries after the break for Italy, who sent Uruguay crashing to their second straight defeat.

They will look to get their campaign back on track this coming Wednesday when they face Namibia. Uruguay have won three of their last four matches against the Welwitschias, including a 26-18 victory in a friendly last month.

Head coach Esteban Meneses made four changes to the starting lineup that lost to Italy.

Betting on Namibia (+17.5)

Things are going from bad to worse for the Welwitschias in the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

They suffered another heavy defeat last Saturday in Pool A, losing 96-0 to France. They have now lost by an average of 69.3 points in their first three group games.

They have allowed 219 points and 32 tries in the losses to Italy, New Zealand, and France. Namibia have struggled to put points on the board as well, scoring just 11 points and recording just one try in those three matches.

To make matters worse for Namibia, captain Johan Deysel will miss the match against Uruguay after he got a red card in the game against France.

He clashed heads with Antoine DuPont, leaving the French scrum-half with a facial fracture, per ESPN.

Tjiuee Uanivi will captain the Namibian side in their pool finale against Uruguay.
