Odds: England (-50.5) vs. Chile (+50.5); total: 68.5 - view all lines

Betting on England (-50.5)

England will head to their clash against Chile with momentum on their side after beating Japan 34-12 in their last group match.

The Red and Whites have now won their first two group games by an average of 19.5 points. England scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to pull away from Japan.

Lewis Ludlam, Courtney Lawes, Freddie Steward, and Joe Marchant scored the tries for the Lions, who earned a bonus point in the win.

The question now is: who will start between George Ford and Owen Farrell at fly-half in the game against Chile?

Ford impressed in the wins over Argentina and Japan. He kicked all of England's points against the Pumas, including three drop-goals. He contributed 14 points in the win against The Brave Blossoms with four conversions and two penalties.

According to the Telegraph, Farrell will start for England against Chile, with Ford relegated to the bench.

The former missed the start of the tournament after serving a two-match ban due to a dangerous tackle on Wales back-rower, Taine Basham.

Marcus Smith also returned to the starting lineup as the team's full-back.

Betting on Chile (+50.5)

Things are going from bad to worse for Chile in the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

They suffered another heavy defeat last Saturday in Pool D, losing 43-10 to Samoa. They have now lost by an average of 31.5 points in their first two group games.

Los Condores had no answer for flyhalf, Christian Leali’ifano, who kicked 16 points for Samoa in the rout.

Chile took an early lead against Samoa, but their lack of discipline doomed them later. They conceded 17 penalties and two yellow cards in the loss to the Samoans, per The Guardian.
