Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane has switched from football to take another job in motorsport despite being linked to Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
The 50-year-old has been out of work once leaving the European champions at the end of a disappointing 2020/21 season.
The Frenchman is yet to make a move back into football management after leaving Spain where he enjoyed a successful spell including three consecutive UEFA Champions League victories.
Premier League club Chelsea and Ligue 1 giants PSG are said to be scrambling for the services of two-time Ballon d'Or winner to replace under-fire bosses Graham Potter and Christophe Galitier, respectively.

But Zidane has shocked the football world by taking a new role in another sport. French F1 team Alpine announced the former Real Madrid manager as their ambassador at the same time they unveiled their new car for 2023.
He said, via The Sun: “I liked the vision and the concrete approach of the Alpine teams, especially in the implementation of their equal opportunities programmes, especially since I have a particular affection for Alpine as a Frenchman and Formula 1 fan.
Zidane's previous links
The Real Madrid legend was also linked with the French national team job before Didier Deschamps contract was renewed with Les Bleus, Marca reported.
It's important to note that Football Espana also reported a week ago that Zidane could return as Madrid coach for a third time.
