“He believes that with China’s rich experience in organising international events, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, with the slogan “Together for a Shared Future”, will be delivered as a splendid, exceptional and extraordinary Olympic event for the world.”

Buhari tells Nigerians to encourage and support Super Eagles

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to encourage the Super Eagles to bounce back, after the team crashed out of the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

A 46th-minute strike by Youssef Msakni was enough for the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia to knock the tournament-favourites out of the biennial tournament.

Buhari had, via a video call, spoken with the team shortly before their Round of 16 clash against the North African side, however they could not move past that stage.

Ahmed Musa promises Super Eagles outing in future

Sports Brief earlier reported that Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has thanked Nigerians for the show of love despite that the team failed to go past the Round of 16 at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

Ahmed Musa who was not in action during the 1-0 loss to Tunisia stated that the team gave their very best, but it turned the other way round.

Augustine Eguavoen’s men reached the knockout stage of the competition with a 100% record completing three wins from three matches.
