The verdict is in and according to Madden NFL 23’s official simulation, the Philadelphia Eagles will be crowned Super Bowl LVII champions.
The popular game’s annual sim predicted that the Eagles would win 31-17 against the Kansas City Chiefs this coming Sunday.
Jalen Hurts was named the Most Valuable Player in the simulation, with the Eagles quarterback completing 26 of 33 passes for 282 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Brown and Smith torch Chiefs
The former Heisman finalist ran for a 9-yard score in the first quarter and delivered two touchdown passes in the third quarter, a 26-yarder to A.J. Brown and a 63-yard throw to DeVonta Smith.
Brown and Smith’s touchdowns helped Philly take a decisive advantage after being tied with the Chiefs at halftime at 10 apiece, according to ESPN.
Miles Sanders also contributed on the ground, racking up 15 carries for 78 yards and Philadelphia’s final touchdown.
Brown was the game's leading receiver, nabbing eight catches for 114 yards and a touchdown. Smith also was an aerial threat, catching six passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Good omen for Chiefs?
The Eagles winning the simulation game might end up being a great sign for Kansas City fans, though. The Madden sim has missed the past two NFL seasons, picking the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV (Tampa Bay won) and the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI (Los Angeles Rams won).

BaseballThe last Super Bowl that the Madden sim got right was back in 2020, when it correctly predicted the Chiefs would beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.
The sim missed on the two Super Bowls before that, including predicting that New England would beat the Eagles in Super Bowl LII, a game that Philadelphia won.
Brady to join Fox broadcast
Sports Brief recently reported that former Patriots star Tom Brady will be joining the Fox broadcast team for the 2024 NFL season.
Brady reportedly signed a mammoth 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports to become their lead analyst once his playing career is over.
Brady announced his retirement on February 1, officially ending his storied 23-year NFL career. He won seven Super Bowl titles during that time, the last one coming in 2021 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
