Pep Guardiola is spending time in the United States after leading Manchester City to their fourth consecutive Premier League title in the just-concluded season.

City won the title again after Liverpool’s capitulation and a failed late attempt by Arsenal in the Gunners’ second title race in two years under Mikel Arteta.

In the last two seasons, the Citizens have either matched or surpassed some of their city rivals, Manchester United's, achievements. They were the only English team to have won the treble and three-peated the title.

Guardiola ‘coaching’ in the NBA

As CBS Sports Golazo spotted, Guardiola was at TD Gardens to watch Game 1 of the NBA finals between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks.

The football manager was seen in a deep chat with Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla, and some fans have claimed he was coaching the basketball instructor.

Mazzulla is a fan of football. In February, he visited Pep at City's facilities and admitted he studies the three-time UEFA Champions League winner, labelling him the greatest across every sport.

The former Barcelona manager is in the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium and could leave the club at the end of the next season, which will be a big relief for other clubs.

City chairman, speaking to the club's official website, is optimistic a solution could be found on the manager's future:

“This decision is always a decision that we will take together, and I have no doubt that we will find, as always, as always we have done, the right solution that works for Pep and works for us.”

The former Bayern Munich boss has been in England since 2016 and has won the title in six out of his eight seasons.

Eto'o prefers Mourinho to Guardiola

Sports Brief previously reported that African legend Samuel Eto'o prefers Jose Mourinho to Guardiola and named the Special One as the perfect manager.

The Cameroonian played under both iconic managers and won consecutive trebles in 2009 and 2010, but he chose the Portuguese as the one he enjoyed working with the most.
