The Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Milwaukee Bucks, and Indiana Pacers booked their spots in the semifinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament after winning their respective quarter-final matches.
Sports Brief previews the two semis matchups.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers
The Bucks and the Pacers will put their unbeaten records in the tournament on the line when they square off this coming Thursday.
The Bucks have won all of their five games in this event, including a comprehensive 146-122 victory over the New York Knicks in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo starred for Milwaukee in the rout, almost pulling off a triple-double with 35 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds.
Damian Lillard also had an outstanding game, scoring 28 points and dishing out seven assists. He shot 8 of 13 from the floor, including 5 of 7 from the 3-point area.
They will next face the Indiana Pacers, who defeated the Boston Celtics in the quarters.
Tyrese Haliburton showed why he is one of the best point guards in the NBA today, registering his first career triple-double in the 122-112 win over the Celtics.
The Pacers star recorded 26 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds in the quarter-finals, per The Ringer. He gave Indiana the lead for good with 1:33 left, scoring a four-point play.
The Pacers will fancy their chances against the Bucks as they beat them in their lone meeting this season. Indiana won 126-124 on November 9.

NBALos Angeles Lakers vs. New Orleans Pelicans
LeBron James made sure the Lakers would be going to Vegas, recording 31 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds in their 106-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns.
He took matters into his own hands in the fourth quarter, scoring 15 of the Lakers' 23 points in the final period, per ESPN.
Next up for the Lakers is a clash with the Pelicans. New Orleans defeated the Sacramento Kings 127-117 on Monday to book a place in the semis.
Brandon Ingram starred for the Pels in that contest, scoring 30 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing out six assists in 40 minutes of action.
Five other players scored in double figures for New Orleans, including Herb Jones, who had 23 points.
This will be the first meeting this season between the Lakers and the Pelicans. The Lakers have won their last two games against New Orleans.
