The Draymond Green and Jordan Poole saga is far from over. The Golden State Warriors veteran stirred the pot when he made controversial comments on Patrick Beverley's podcast, eliciting angry reactions from fans.
Green punched Poole last summer before the 2022/23 NBA season. He apologized but it seems the issue clouded their season.
The two put aside their differences, albeit temporarily, to play for the Warriors as they tried to defend the title they won in 2022. However, it seemed the two are yet to quash their beef. After a disappointing postseason, the Warriors traded Poole to the Washington Wizards and acquired Chris Paul in return.
Green discussed the incident on The Pat Bev Pod, and his remarks struck a nerve.
"I don't just hit people," Green said. "Dialogue of course happens over time and you usually ain't just triggered by something that fast, to that degree. This is a team, you know what I'm saying? Ain't nobody on my team triggering me in an instant. We know stuff you don't say amongst men. We know things that you have to stand on."
The Warriors coach admitted that the incident affected the team's chemistry.
