  • Patrick Beverley has said Chris Paul is a dirty player
  • The Chicago Bulls guard and the Phoenix Suns veteran have a long-running beef with each other
  • Paul is considered one of the greatest players in NBA history

Chicago Bulls veteran guard Patrick Beverley has reignited his feud with Chris Paul. This time around, he has called the Phenix Suns' point guard a dirty player.

The Bulls guard is known for his defense and ability to speak his mind, even if he rubs some people the wrong way.

When the Suns were stunned in Game 7 of last season's Western Conference finals by the Dallas Mavericks, Beverley did not hold back when asked about his long-time rival.

Last year, Beverley said last year that his feud with Paul, one of the greatest point guards of all time, began when they were in high school, per Deadspin.

So it is clear to see why Beverley harbors resentment toward Paul. The Suns' veteran is considered by some a dirty player, and it wouldn't take long for someone to find a compilation of Paul's dirty plays on YouTube.

Beverley on Paul

During a recent live episode of his podcast, the 34-year-old was asked if he thinks anybody in the NBA is a dirty player. His answer was quick: Chris Paul.

“Chris Paul,” Beverley responded. “It’s a shock when you say it in front of people who’s not in the basketball world, but when you say it in front of basketball players and referees — even referees. (They will say) ‘Okay, yeah, that doesn’t surprise me.'”

This is not the last time Beverley will say something about Paul. The Suns' guard responded to his taunts in December when the Lakers played the Suns.

"You can't pay attention to that stuff," Paul said after the game when asked about Beverley trying to show him up. "That ain't new. He ain't come up with it. But just play basketball, man," via ESPN.

Beverley's message to Morant

Sports Brief earlier reported on Beverley sending Ja Morant a message after the Memphis Grizzlies star was seen flaunting a gun in an Instagram Live video.

He stepped away from the Grizzlies in March after the incident, prompting the NBA to begin investigations which resulted in a suspension for several games.

Discussing Morant's impact, Beverley said: "A lot of ways, the NBA needs Ja. I got video, my son scored his first basket he's ever scored. The first thing he did was the griddy. The first thing."
