Sports Brief looks at the triple-double games Jokic had for the Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Nuggets vs. Wolves (Game 3)

Jokic recorded his first triple-double of the 2023 postseason in Game 3 of Denver’s first-round series against Minnesota.

The Serbian big man put on a show on the road, scoring 20 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and dishing out 12 assists in Denver’s 120-111 win.

That performance helped the Nuggets take a commanding 3-0 lead over the Wolves.

Nuggets vs. Wolves (Game 5)

Jokic finished off the Wolves in style, recording his second triple-double of the 2023 playoffs in the series clincher.

He wreaked havoc against the Timberwolves in Game 5, nabbing 28 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists in Denver’s 112-109 win.

Nuggets vs. Suns (Game 3)

The Nuggets headed into Phoenix looking to build a commanding 3-0 lead after winning their first two home games against the Suns.

Jokic tried his best to give that advantage to Denver, producing his third triple-double of the 2023 playoffs in Game 3 against Phoenix.

He recorded 30 points, 17 rebounds, and 17 assists in that contest.

Jokic’s effort was for nought, though, as the Nuggets suffered a 121-114 loss.

Nuggets vs. Suns (Game 5)

The pressure was on Denver to win Game 5 after the Suns leveled the series at 2-2.

Jokic delivered the goods for the Nuggets, finishing with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists in Denver’s 118-102 win.

Nuggets vs. Suns (Game 6)

For the second straight series in this year’s playoffs, Jokic had a triple-double in the clinching game.

He punished the Suns’ defense in Game 6, recording 32 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds in Denver’s emphatic 125-100 victory.

Nuggets vs. Lakers (Game 1)

Jokic started the highly-anticipated series against the Lakers with a bang, recording his sixth triple-double of the 2023 postseason in Denver’s 132-126 win.

He posted huge numbers in the high-scoring contest, racking up 34 points, 21 rebounds, and 14 assists in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

Nuggets vs. Lakers (Game 2)

Jokic made sure the Nuggets protected their home court against the Lakers, producing another offensive masterclass in Game 2 of the Western Finals.

He scored 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists in Denver’s 108-103 victory over Los Angeles.

Jokic made history with that stat line, tying Chamberlain’s record for the most triple-doubles in a single playoff run, with seven.

Nuggets vs. Lakers (Game 4)

Jokic and the Nuggets both made history in the series-clinching win against the Lakers on Monday.

Denver advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history, after recording a four-game sweep against Los Angeles.

The Nuggets’ dismantling of the Lakers wouldn’t be possible without the brilliance of Jokic, who posted monster numbers in Game 4.

He scored 30 points on 11-of-24 shooting from the field. Jokic also had 14 rebounds and 13 assists to claim his eighth triple-double in this year’s playoffs and break Chamberlain’s long-standing record.

James shines in defeat

Sports Brief recently reported on the Nuggets’ win over the Lakers in Game 4.

LeBron James had a spectacular performance, coming one assist shy of a playoff triple-double.

He recorded 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists in a losing effort.
