The Boston Celtics recorded an emphatic 112-88 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 7 on Sunday to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Jayson Tatum stole the show in the winner-take-all contest, scoring a playoff career-high 51 points.

It was the 25-year-old star’s fourth career 40-point playoff game.

Tatum scores 51 vs. Sixers 

Tatum saved the best for last in the series against the 76ers, accounting for nearly half of the Celtics’ points in their Game 7 win.

He set the tone in the elimination game, scoring 25 of his 51 points in the opening half.

Tatum then helped the Celtics pull away in the third quarter, scoring 17 points during that period.

Tatum scores 50 vs. Nets 

Tatum torched the Brooklyn Nets in Game 3 of the 2021 Eastern Conference Semifinals, scoring 50 points. He shot 16 of 30 from the field and made 13 of his 15 free throws.

Tatum made history in Boston’s 125-119 win, becoming the third youngest player in the NBA to drop 50 points in a playoff game, per CBS Sports.

Tatum scores 46 vs. Bucks

Tatum wreaked havoc in Game 6 of the Celtics’ Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Milwaukee Bucks back in 2021. He scored 46 points to help Boston avoid elimination.  

Tatum shot 17 of 32 from the field, including 7 of 15 from beyond the arc in the Celtics’ 108-95 win. He also made five of his seven free throws.

Tatum came up clutch for the Celtics, scoring 16 of Boston’s 26 points in the fourth quarter.

Tatum scores 40 vs. Brooklyn 

Tatum punished the Nets’ defense in Game 4 of their first-round series on May 30, 2021.

He scored 40 points on 10 of 22 shooting. He also made all 17 of his free throws.

It still wasn’t enough to overcome the Nets as Brooklyn cruised to a 141-126 victory.

Murray’s highest-scoring postseason games

Sports Brief also reported on Jamal Murray’s highest-scoring games in the playoffs.

He scored at least 40 points in the postseason five times while playing for the Denver Nuggets.

Three of those came in the Nuggets’ first-round series against the Utah Jazz inside the Orlando bubble.
