Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum almost had a catastrophic Game 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers but came alive when his team needed him.
The forward is hoping for a better performance in the do-or-die Game 7 at home.
The Celtics went into the game down 3-2 in the series after losing Game 5 at home. For the third straight game, the 25-year-old went the entire first quarter without a field goal made.
He went 0-for-10 in the first half, with his only point coming from a technical free throw. The 4x All-Star shot just 1-for-14 from the floor in the first 44 minutes of the game.

Tatum finally came alive in the fourth quarter, fourth quarter, draining four of his eight shots for 16 points, outscoring the 76ers by himself in the quarter to help his team clinch a 95-86 victory.
He shot 4-for-7 over the final four minutes, including 4-for-5 from three-point range. He ended the game with 19 points on a horrendous 5-for-21 shooting, per CBS News.
Tatum on abysmal Game 6
Tatum may have had a strange and almost calamitous Game 6, but he has shown in the past he can step up when needed. His Sixers performance was discouraging, according to Tatum, especially if you want to win, per ESPN.
"In transparency, (expletive) was frustrating," Tatum said after the game. "You want to win so bad. You want to play so well. And shots aren't falling, things just aren't necessarily going your way. And you want it so bad."

NBAThe All-NBA superstar hopes the slump was just in Game 6. He's looking forward to a much better Game 7.
"Hopefully, that's a one-time thing," Tatum said. "Hopefully, I start off better, things like that. But if this is what it takes for us to win, I'll go for whatever. Sunday is obviously a big game, Game 7, and I'm excited to go back and kind of like redeem ourselves in front of our home crowd."
