LeBron James has fired back at Golden State Warriors coach, Steve Kerr, who appeared to accuse the Los Angeles Lakers of flopping.

James responded to say the Lakers are not a flopping team, shortly after they lost Game 6 121-106 to the Warriors, which forced a crucial Game 6 in Los Angeles.

Kerr, in his postgame press conference after the Warriors' 104-101 Game 4 defeat, implied that the Lakers received calls because of their flopping. The Lakers have had an overwhelming advantage at the free-throw line this series.

Darvin Ham's team shot 29 free throws compared to six for Golden State. In Game 3, the Lakers shot 37 times from the line, while the defending NBA champions had 17 free-throw attempts, per Bleacher Report.

James responds to Kerr

After the Warriors went 3-1 down, Kerr had a few words to say about the Lakers' tactics. He was blasted on social media for his comments by Lakers fans.

"The Lakers - they're a team that plays with a lot of gamesmanship," Kerr said. "They understand how to generate some calls. I thought they took some flops and were rewarded."

The 20-year veteran was categorical in his response.

"I just know that we and our coaching staff and us players, we don't work on flopping, that's not even a part of our game. Our game is to attack, attack the paint. We don't mind physical contact and we don't shy away from it. [We're] just not a team that goes out there looking for flopping opportunities, it's not us. It's never been," James said, via NBC Sports.

The Warriors now head to Los Angeles for a massive win-or-go-home Game 6 showdown.

Lakers' Davis an injury concern

Sports Brief earlier reported on Anthony Davis being a injury concern after an inadvertent elbow on the head by the Warriors' Kevon Looney in the fourth quarter.

The collision happened while they were positioning in the lane for a potential rebound of D’Angelo Russell’s layup attempt, with 7:43 remaining in the last frame.

Davis made his way to the bench, where he was initially examined by the Lakers’ trainer, before he retreated to the back of the Chase Center for further attention.
