Anthony Davis’ status for Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors remains uncertain after he suffered a head injury on Wednesday night.
He was hit on the side of the head with Kevon Looney’s forearm during the fourth quarter of Game 5 .
The collision happened while they were positioning in the lane for a potential rebound of D’Angelo Russell’s layup attempt, with 7:43 remaining in the final frame.

The Lakers' center immediately bent over in pain as Russell’s shot went in.

Darvin Ham knew something was wrong with Davis, who covered his head with his hands as he dealt with the pain.
He replaced Davis on the ensuing dead ball, putting Rui Hachimura in with 7:34 left in the contest, per ESPN.
Davis made his way to the bench, where he was initially examined by the Lakers’ athletic trainer Jon Ishop. He then retreated to the back of Chase Center for further medical attention.
There was further concerning news about Davis, who was reportedly placed in a wheelchair and carted to a training room after he felt dizzy.

Davis' official status for Game 6 is unclear, with the Lakers, through a spokesperson, not addressing his availability for Friday’s contest.
The good news for Davis and the Lakers is that he appears to have avoided a concussion, which was their immediate concern.

Davis has been a vital cog for the Lakers in this series, averaging 22.4 points, 13.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.2 blocks, and 1.4 steals per game against the Warriors.
He scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Game 5 before exiting with a head injury.
The Lakers hope he will be available for Game 6 at Crypto.com Arena, where they are 6-0 this postseason.
