In Game 2, it felt like Thompson might not miss.
Thompson scored 19 of his 30 points in the first half, and Golden State beat Los Angeles 127-100 on Thursday night to even the Western Conference semifinals at one game apiece.

Thompson shook off a dismal shooting night in Game 1, going 7 for 12 in the first half, including 5 for 7 from the 3-point line. He made a total of eight threes in Game 2.

Steph Curry registered a double-double, finishing with 20 points and 12 assists. JaMychal Green added 15 points.
Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins each dropped 11 points as all Warriors starters scored in double figures in Game 2.
The Warriors wreaked havoc in the middle quarters, scoring a combined 84 points to break the game wide open, per NBC Sports.
They outscored the Lakers 41-23 in the second quarter to turn a 33-26 deficit into a 67-56 advantage heading into the halftime break.
The Warriors continued their hot shooting in the third quarter, outscoring the Lakers 43-24 to build a commanding 110-80 lead entering the fourth.
Davis struggles in Game 2
The Lakers rested their stars in the fourth quarter, satisfied that they had stolen home-court advantage from the Warriors with their win in Game 1.

NBALeBron James got off to a terrific start in Game 2, scoring 21 points in the first half on 9 of 13 shooting from the field.
He struggled, however, in the third quarter, scoring just two points on 1 of 5 shooting.
Anthony Davis failed to match his outstanding Game 1 performance, finishing with just 11 points and seven rebounds in Game 2. He had 30 points and 23 rebounds in the Lakers’ 117-112 win in the series opener.
Action shifts to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Saturday night.
