The Golden State Warriors' painful defeat to the Sacramento Kings angered Stephen Curry so much that he couldn't sleep.

Draymond Green couldn't sleep too, after the Game 6 loss on Friday. Curry and Green exchanged messages about how Kings 6th man Malik Monk called them old. On Saturday, Curry gave the team a speech at Chase Center.

He followed up that speech with probably his best game ever. He dropped 50 points on 20-of-38 shooting, including seven three-pointers.

The Warriors weren't spectacular in the first half and trailed by only two points. However, in the third quarter, they showed why they have won four NBA titles in the last eight years.

They were locked in defensively and destroyed the young Kings on the glass. They grabbed 23 rebounds to Sacramento's nine, 13 of which were offensive, per ESPN. Their unsung hero, Kevon Looney, grabbed 21 rebounds, dominating Domantas Sabonis throughout the series.

Curry's inspirational speech

Before Game 7, Curry gave a speech to the team. He implored his team to stay locked in, and he will deliver victory for them, per the Athletic. He told his teammates not to get to the bus if they were ready for a vacation. Green recounted Curry's speech.

“You’re in this space where you gon’ fold or you gon’ rise up,” Green said. “Once he did that, you have no choice but to rise up. He (expletive) got everybody locked in. ‘If you’re getting on this bus, you’re making a commitment to this team. No matter if you play zero minutes or 40 minutes. You’re making a commitment to do whatever it takes. Prepare your mind and body for this opportunity we have. We got embarrassed the other night and we never (expletive) going out like that.’”

Some players like Andrew Wiggins felt something during the speech.

“It gave me chills,” Wiggins said. “No. 30, he’s different, man.”

NBA stars' reaction to Curry

Sports Brief earlier reported on NBA stars reacting to Curry's 50-point display.

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant, Atlanta Hawks guard Tare Young, and Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard showered Curry with praise after the game.

Other sports stars like Andy Murray, Patrick Mahomes, and Toni Kroos took to social media to laud Curry.
