The Miami Heat moved within a victory of eliminating the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, recording a stunning 119-114 win in Game 4 of their best-of-seven series.

Jimmy Butler stole the show on Monday night, scoring a career-high 56 points. It was the 33-year-old star’s seventh career 40-point playoff game.

Butler scores 56 vs. Milwaukee

Butler delivered the greatest playoff performance in Miami Heat history on Monday night, scoring 56 points in Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks. This was a new career-high for him.

He also became the first Heat player to record a 50-point game in the playoffs. Butler achieved that tally in style, scoring 22 points in the first quarter and dropping 21 in the fourth quarter.

Those were the first two 20-point quarters in Miami Heat postseason history.

Butler scores 47 vs. Boston

Butler helped the Heat avoid elimination in the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals, scoring 47 points in Game 6 of their series against the Celtics. He scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to help Miami grab a 111-103 win.

It was one of the best performances by a player facing elimination in the history of the NBA.

Butler scores 45 vs. Atlanta 

Butler wreaked havoc against the Hawks in Game 2 of their first-round series last year.

He dropped 45 points, including a solo 7-0 run in the final moments to lead Miami to a 115-105 victory, per Fox Sports.

Butler drops 41 vs. Celtics

Butler started the 2022 Eastern Conference Finals with a bang, scoring 41 points in Game 1 against the Celtics.

He shot 12 of 19 from the field and 17 of 18 from the free-throw line. He helped the Heat cruise to a 118-107 win.

Butler scores 40 vs. Bucks 

Butler torched the Bucks in Game 1 of the 2020 Eastern Conference Semifinals, scoring 40 points in Miami’s 115-104 win over Milwaukee.

He shot 13 of 20 from the floor and knocked down 12 of his 13 free throws in the series opener.

Butler scores 40 vs. Lakers 

Butler produced one of the best Finals performances in recent memory, recording a 40-point triple-double in Game 3 of the 2020 championship series against the Los Angeles Lakers.

He scored 40 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out 13 assists in Miami’s 115-104 win over Los Angeles. The Heat cut the Lakers’ Finals lead to 2-1 with the win.

Butler scores 40 vs. Philadelphia 

Butler punished the Sixers’ defense in Game 4 of the 2022 Eastern Conference Semifinals, scoring 40 points on 13 of 20 shooting from the field.

His effort went for naught, though, as Miami suffered a 116-108 loss to Philadelphia.

Murray’s highest-scoring playoff games

Sports Brief also reported on Jamal Murray’s highest-scoring games in the postseason.

He scored at least 40 points in the playoffs five times while playing for the Denver Nuggets.

Three of those came in Denver’s first-round series against the Jazz inside the Orlando bubble.
