Edwards scores 41 vs. Denver

Edwards did everything he could to level the series against Denver before returning home to Minnesota, scoring 41 points in Game 2 on April 19, 2023.

He shot 14 of 23 from the field, including 6 of 10 from beyond the arc. Edwards also knocked down seven of his eight free throws.

His effort went for naught, though, as the Wolves suffered a 122-113 loss to the Nuggets.

Edwards scores 36 vs. Nuggets

Edwards put on a show just two days after his 41-point explosion in Denver, scoring 36 points in Game 3 against the Nuggets. He led all scorers with that performance, but it still wasn’t enough, as the Wolves suffered a 120-111 loss.

Edwards scores 36 vs. Memphis

Edwards dazzled in his postseason debut, scoring 36 points in Minnesota’s 130-117 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of their first-round series last year.

He shot 12 of 23 from the field and made all eight free throws in the win against the Grizzlies.

Edwards scores 34 vs. Denver

Ant-Man made sure Minnesota’s season didn’t end on Sunday night. He torched the Nuggets in Game 4, scoring 34 points to help the Wolves record a thrilling 114-108 in overtime.

Edwards took over in the third quarter, scoring 16 points during that period. He gave Minnesota a 12-point lead with 2:52 remaining in regulation after burying a step-back jumper, but that lead evaporated quickly, with Denver unleashing a 12-0 run to force overtime.

Edwards helped the Wolves avoid elimination, knocking down a dagger three with 11 seconds left to seal the win for Minnesota.

Edwards scores 30 vs. Grizzlies

Edwards’ first playoff series ended in disappointment as the Wolves lost to the Grizzlies in six games.

Edwards tried his best to force a winner-take-all Game 7, scoring 30 points in Game 6. However, the Wolves surrendered another double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, as they suffered a gut-wrenching 114-106 loss.

Murray the scoring machine

Sports Brief recently reported on Jamal Murray’s highest-scoring games in the playoffs.

He scored at least 40 points in the postseason five times during his time with the Denver Nuggets.

Three of those games came in Denver’s playoff series against the Utah Jazz in the Orlando bubble.
