Kings make late surge
The Kings were awarded a technical free throw and possession because of the illegal timeout. Sacramento scored four points in the ensuing possession, with De’Aaron Fox cutting the Warriors’ lead to one with his three-pointer with 28.7 seconds left.
Curry then compounded his woes by missing a running 16-foot jumper with 10 seconds left, allowing the Kings one last chance to steal a win on the road.
Sacramento failed to take advantage, with Harrison Barnes missing a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Kerr defends Curry after error
Golden State coach Steve Kerr came to Curry’s defense regarding his timeout blunder, saying it was 100 percent his fault, per Yahoo! Sports. Kerr told reporters he failed to remind the players they were out of timeouts following an unsuccessful challenge.
Fortunately for Kerr and Curry, that mistake didn’t haunt them as they held on to the 126-125 win.

Fans took to social media to react to Curry’s error. Many tweeted that the Warriors star “pulled a Chris Webber” with his rare mental mistake.
