Injury woes deepen for Miami
Oladipo's knee injury comes at a bad time for the No. 8-seeded Heat, who are also without Herro for the remainder of the series. He broke two fingers on his shooting hand in Game 1 against the Bucks and underwent surgery on Friday.
Oladipo was one of the players expected to step up in Herro’s absence. He averaged 10.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists while shooting 39.7 percent from the field and 33.0 percent from the 3-point area in 42 games for the Heat this season.
Injuries have affected his stint with the Heat this past two-and-a-half seasons.
He appeared in just four games for Miami in the 2020-21 season to undergo surgery to repair a quadriceps injury.
Oladipo then played just eight games during the 2021-22 season due to left knee tendinosis and a quad ailment.
Butler suffers back injury
Oladipo’s injury put a dampener on the Heat’s impressive win over the Bucks in Game 3. They are just two wins away from recording a shocking upset against the top-seeded Bucks.
