Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has dismissed jibes from Memphis Grizzlies swingman Dillon Brooks ahead of their Game 3 showdown on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Brooks has some strong words for James after their 103-93 Game 2 win. He called James "old" and said he won't respect the veteran until he scores 40 points on him.
Brooks has had run-ins with several players in the NBA this season, and James was the latest on his long list. In February, he had a physical altercation with Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell. He was later suspended for hitting Mitchell in the groin area.
He's also exchanged words with Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green. His most infamous incident was when he had a shouting match with pro football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe when the Lakers played the Grizzlies in January.

After the Grizzlies won Game 2, Brooks made some controversial comments about NBA's all-time leading scorer.
"I don't care -- he's old. You know what I mean?" Brooks said of the 38-year-old James. "I was waiting for that. I was expecting him to do that Game 4, Game 5. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. He should have been saying that earlier on. But I poke bears. I don't respect no one until they come and give me 40," via the Athletic.

He also added that no matter what has been said, they have to respect the Grizzlies as a team.
"I mean at the end of the day, there's 10 guys on the floor," James said. "There's 10 guys on the floor. They're one of the best defensive teams in the league and we have to respect that. No matter who is out in a Grizzlies uniform during that particular time, during that quarter, during that minute, we've got to respect everybody and we got to execute offensively."
James' teams have faced Brooks 13 times in his career. His teams have won 10 times. His highest scoring total in those games is 34 points. The future Hall of Famer has averaged 25.2 points on 52.2% shooting from the floor in the 11 regular season games.
