Taking advantage of his day off ahead of the regular season finale, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James watched his son Bronny lead Team USA against a World team in an Under 19 Nike Hoops Summit game.

Bronny finished with 11 points as Team USA beat a World team made up of international players 90-84.

Bronny James finished with 11 points, making a couple of key shots late while also adding four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.

The 18-year-old struggled to get going in the first half, shooting 2-for-5 from the field, including two airballs from deep. At halftime, LeBron offered him some advice.

He played almost the entire fourth quarter, scoring seven of his 11 points in the period. He hit a huge three-pointer with 4:51 to play that gave the USA a six-point lead, before forcing a turnover at the other end, per USA Today.

The young prospect then grabbed a rebound with 5.4 seconds left and made both free throws.

Reactions from Bronny's performance

After the game, Bronny revealed his dad told him to keep going despite air balling two three-point attempts. Those two missed attempts didn't dampen his spirits.

"I just always try to stay confident in myself, even if I'm missing shots in the beginning of the game like I was," he said. "I just try to keep my head up and keep playing my game. I know good things are going to come because good things come with the lows. I'm happy with the results of it," via ESPN.

He added he was delighted to get that experience with Team USA.

"A great experience. High-level basketball, of course. Getting me ready for the next level. I'm always grateful for having that experience and being part of this with a bunch of amazing guys."

LeBron's wife, Savannah, and their daughter Zhuri were also in attendance. Draymond Green and Steve Kerr, members of the Golden State Warriors, were in attendance since they play the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

James wants to play with Bronny

Sports Brief earlier reported on James revealing his ambition to play with his son when he joins the NBA.

Bronny is not eligible to play in the NBA until the 2024/25 season under the rules of the current collective bargaining agreement. He added that his son will have to work hard to make it to the NBA.

Waiting for his son to play with him in the NBA would require the four-time champion to continue playing until his 22nd NBA season, which would tie Vince Carter for the most in league history.
