The UConn Huskies are kings of the NCAA basketball world once again.
They eased past the San Diego State Aztecs on Monday to win their fifth national championship.
Here are the rankings of the Huskies' five championship teams.
1. 1998-99 championship team
The first championship is always the sweetest. That is the case for the Huskies, who won their maiden title in 1999.

Richard Hamilton, Kevin Freeman, and Khalid El-Amin led a dominant UConn team all season. They finished the regular season with an impressive 28-2 record. The Huskies then won the regular season and tournament championships in the Big East before the NCAA Tournament.
They held the No. 1 position in the AP poll for ten straight weeks in the middle of the season. The Huskies showed why they were the top team in the NCAA Tournament, beating No. 1 Duke 77-74 in the championship game, per NBC.
2. 2022-23 championship team
The 2022-23 Huskies team separated themselves from other UConn championship sides with the way they dominated the NCAA Tournament.
They defeated their six opponents by an average of 20 points, the fourth-largest win margin since 1985, when the field expanded to 64 teams. They are the fifth team since 1985 to win all six of their games by double figures.
Junior center Adama Sanogo played outstanding basketball throughout the tournament, averaging 19.7 points and 10 rebounds per game during UConn’s flawless run.
3. 2010-11 championship team
UConn’s title win in 2011 wouldn’t be possible without Kemba Walker. His 11-game run at the end of the regular season and in the NCAA Tournament is the stuff of legends.

Walker continued his fine play in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 23.5 points per game. He scored 16 points in the Huskies’ 53-41 win over Butler in the championship game.
4. 2003-04 championship team
The 2003-04 Huskies team was a talented bunch with six players reaching the NBA. Ben Gordon and Emeka Okafor were the best of the lot and they showed their prowess in the NCAA Tournament.
The Huskies stunned Duke in the semifinals, unleashing a 12-0 run in the closing minutes to pull off a 79-78 win. UConn then beat Georgia Tech in the championship game to win their second NCAA title. Okafor and Gordon combined for 45 points in the final.
5. 2013-14 championship team
The Huskies’ championship run in 2014 was totally unexpected. They entered the NCAA Tournament as the 7-seed. Kevin Ollie’s men embraced the underdog tag as they became giant killers in the tourney.

Tristen Newton and Sanogo both registered double-doubles in UConn’s 76-59 win.
Newton scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Sanogo finished with 17 points and 10 boards.
