The Suns star added that he is looking forward to seeing their fans and knows they cannot wait to see them on the floor.

The Suns sent their fans into a frenzy when they acquired Durant in a blockbuster trade before the deadline. More than 3,000 fans flocked to their team’s home stadium to witness the superstar’s introductory news conference.

Durant makes the Suns better

They had to wait for his debut though, as Durant was still recovering from a knee injury he suffered on January 8.

The moment they have all been waiting for finally arrived on March 1 when he started for Phoenix in the game against the Charlotte Hornets.

The Suns have not lost since, with the team going 3-0 in Durant’s last three starts. All of those games came on the road though, denying home fans the chance to see KD in the flesh for his first outings for the franchise.

Adding to the fans’ excitement is the burgeoning partnership between Durant and Devin Booker.

They have combined for 188 points in their first three games together, the most for a new pair of teammates since Wilt Chamberlain achieved that feat with several different teammates in the 1961-62 NBA season, per ESPN.

Suns edge past Mavs

Sports Brief recently reported on the Suns’ win over the Mavericks by 130 points to 126.

Devon Booker and Luka Doncic exchanged heated words after the Mavs star missed a basket.

Booker and the Suns had the last laugh as they ended a four-game road trip with a 3-1 record.
