The NBA MVP award has several legitimate contenders this season. Denver Nuggets superstar, Nikola Jokic has won the last two awards and leads the race this season.
The Los Angeles Clippers' Paul George feels Boston Celtics star, Jayson Tatum should win this time because of his growth and accomplishments last season.
In the recently released NBA MVP ladder, the Nuggets star still leads. He's averaging 24.4 points, 11.8 rebounds, and ten assists - the only player averaging a triple-double this season.
His performances have helped Denver lead the Western Conference for much of this season. They have a record of 46-19, and it looks like they'll finish as the No. 1 seed in the West.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is second on the ladder. The Milwaukee Bucks star is averaging 32.5 points per game and may win his third MVP award.
Jayson Tatum is third, while Philadelphia 76ers center, Joel Embiid is fourth.
George on the MVP award
On the most recent episode of the Playoff P podcast, the Clippers star explained why he believes Tatum is the NBA MVP this season.
"You've gotta give it to Tatum, what he's doing is incredible. That team, people didn't think that team was gonna get back to where they're at. They didn't think they'd be that successful last year, and what they're doing now, Tatum is my favorite in the MVP race. He's so young," George said via SI.
The 25-year-old is averaging 30.3 points per game this season and his team is currently second in the Eastern Conference. They are looking to win the NBA title this season after falling short last year.

The 25-year-old picked up his first technical late in the third quarter to protest the lack of a foul call on a dunk.
He then sarcastically reacted to the lack of a foul call on a missed three-pointer, which saw him get tossed.
