What Grizzlies win mean

The win over the Nuggets was their first against another playoff team since they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 18th.

Xavier Tillman said they have their swagger back now, per CBS Sports.

"We had that [swagger] back against Philly, it just didn't end the way it was supposed to. You see we got the swagger back and now we're on a roll now."

They have grabbed the headlines recently due to on and off-court drama. Dillon Brooks was criticized for hitting Donovan Mitchell in the groin area.

Multiple reports revealed that the Grizzlies were investigated for an incident in which Ja Morant's associates pointed a gun with a laser at the Indiana Pacers bus inside FedEx Forum.

The Grizzlies improve to 36-23 but remain second in the West, while Denver have a 42-19 record. Morant's team have also won four of their last six games.

Morant back his bold remarks

Sports Brief earlier reported on Ja Morant saying he was not backtracking on his controversial 'I'm fine in the West' comment despite his team's terrible run in 2023.

Morant and the Grizzlies are slowly becoming the most hated team in the NBA due to his comments and Dillon Brooks's instigating attitude last season and several times this term.

His bold remark may come to haunt him come the playoffs. Dallas and Phoenix have strengthened significantly, meaning the Grizzlies may have to go through past future Hall of Famers to reach the finals.
