NBAChris Paul on What It Means to Play Alongside Kevin Durant in Phoenix
- Chris Paul has acknowledged that playing on the same team as Kevin Durant is surreal
- Durant joined the Suns last week in a blockbuster trade from the Brooklyn Nets
- Paul, Durant, and Devin Booker now form arguably the best trio in the NBA
Chris Paul has played with some top NBA talents like Blake Griffin, James Harden, Devin Booker, LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant. For him playing with Kevin Durant in Phoenix feels different.
Durant recently joined the Suns following a blockbuster trade from the Brooklyn Nets. The trade saw the Suns give up integral role players in Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, and Jae Crowder, including four unprotected first-round picks and a 2028 pick swap
Paul, 37, has been in the league for nearly two decades and has seen and done it all. He had a chance to win his first NBA title in 2021, but the Suns lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games, per SI.
Now he gets to team up with Durant, one of the game's greatest players. Unlike Paul, Durant has been to the NBA Finals before and won. Therefore, he brings the championship pedigree that the Suns lacked in the 2021 Finals/.

Paul on Durant
The former Houston Rockets star has said he would not take playing with Durant for granted, adding that adjusting with him in the team will be a learning process.
But since he has stepped on the court with the 34-year-old before, the process may be easier.
"'Well, how are they going to play? How are they going to play? That's the natural thing. I think the thing that I appreciate the most is just knowing. ... I know how much [Durant] loves the game of basketball. And the same thing with Book. So just that appreciation for knowing how, above all this, they just love hoopin' like myself, I think that's a good feeling," via ESPN.

NBAThe veteran point guard still can't believe he is teammates with the 2014 MVP. He is expected to debut after the All-Star break as he's still nursing an MCL sprain.
"It's wild. Everything happens for a reason. KD is like family. So now, to get an opportunity to play alongside him in this capacity, I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity."
Booker on Durant
Sports Brief earlier reported on Devin Booker reacting to the Suns trading for his Team USA teammate Durant. They were on the team that won gold in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Booker is still stunned that the two-time champion will be his teammate. They are now expected to go all the way to the finals this year.
"You can't put it into words. It's something you've got to be around. It's a feeling when you're around greatness. When you're around one of the best to ever do it. It's a different look. It's a different feel."
