Who are the participants?

As previously mentioned, Team Antetokounmpo will be represented by brothers Giannis, Thanasis, and Alex. Giannis and Thanasis play for the Bucks in the NBA, while Alex currently plays for the Wisconsin Herd.

Team Jazz will definitely get the support of the home fans. Utah players Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler, and Collin Sexton were selected to represent the team.

Team Rooks will be bannered by three NBA rookies: Orlando Magic’s Paolo Banchero, Detroit Pistons’ Jaden Ivey, and Houston Rockets’ Jabari Smith Jr.

Format of NBA Skills Challenge

The event features three teams made up of three players. They will compete in a three-round competition to test their shooting, passing, and dribbling skills.

After three rounds, the team with the most ”Challenge Points” in the Skills Challenge will be declared the champion, according to NBA.com.

If two or more teams are tied after completing all three rounds, half-court shots will be used for the tiebreaker. The team that drains a half-court shot in the lowest amount of time wins the title.

Celebrities to showcase basketball skills

Sports Brief recently reported on the 2023 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game format. Utah Jazz owners Ryan Smith and Dwyane Wade were named honorary captains for the event.

Team Dwyane and Team Ryan will have 11 celebrity players each. Among the stars competing are Grammy Award-winning recording artist and actress Janelle Monáe, Hollywood actor Simu Liu and Bollywood star Ranveer Singh.

Peloton instructor Alex Toussaint also will make an appearance for Team Dwyane. He won the Celebrity Game MVP last year.
